“Unlikely Friendships”

The photojournalism exhibit that follows was commissioned by MATCH-UP Interfaith Volunteers in Boston. MATCH-UP is one of the original 25 Faith in Action programs funded in 1984.

Photographer, Gail Rothenberg, highlights the strong connections between volunteers and the people they serve. This exhibit opened at the Boston Public Library in 2003 and toured throughout the city to congregations, libraries and community centers to acclaim.

The striking black and white images show the life-affirming, priceless power of friends at all ages.
